Week Four - Ned Kelly, Villian or Hero?

Hi Class,
This week we have been learning about Ned Kelly. We learnt how Ned Kelly was on the run from Police and was involved in some bank robberies. The Police believed that Ned Kelly committed a crime that Ned Kelly says he did not do. Consider Ned Kelly's family which was very poor and how the Police treated his family. Do you think Ned Kelly should have run from Police when he says he was innocent? Should he have tried to revenge against the Police? How do you feel about this?

Hi Class,

This week we have watched two YouTubes. One about the Endeavour Replica and the other a tour of Jessica Watson's yacht.
Imagine you are sixteen and on a yacht by yourself sailing around the world. How would you feel? What do you think would be your biggest challenge?
Now imagine it is over 200 years ago and you on board the Endeavour with Captain Cook. What would be your biggest challenge?
Compare your challenges and explain how the 21st Century has changed the hardships that Captain Cook came across compared to Jessica Watson.
